
Families Matter, Inc. provides Intensive In-Community services to children and families throughout Southern New Jersey. The purpose of these interventions is to strengthen families, promote stability, and preserve the family constellation within the community setting. Twenty-four hour on-call clinical support and supervision is provided to all staff by a clinically licensed supervisor. All services are funded by either New Jersey Medicaid or by New Jersey Child Behavioral Health Services funding.
Services are provided at no cost to the referring agency or to the family.
Three Levels of Intensive In-Community Care are available:
1) Delivered by a Clinically Licensed or Masters Prepared Provider:
- Clinical Assessments with Treatment Recommendations
- Needs Assessments and referrals to all levels of care:
- Intensive In-Community Services
- Youth Case Management Services
- Care Management Organization
- Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services
- Clinical consultation to child/family teams, child study teams, etc.
- Individual Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Referral to Psychiatric and Medication Management Services
2) Delivered by a Bachelors Prepared Intensive In-Community Provider:
- Behavioral Stabilization
- Supportive Behavioral Counseling
- Behavior Skills Training
- Coping Skills Development
- Consultation to child/family teams, child study teams, etc.
3) Delivered by a Behavioral Assistant:
- Application/Practice of Positive Behavior in the Community
- Social Skills Building
- Targeting specific behaviors
- Consultation to child/family teams, child study teams, etc.
